I think that some celebrities are really private people, but they are the ones that you rarely hear about in celebrity gossip. Look at Danny DeVito and Rhea Perleman--they are both actors, but you never hear about them doing anything weird. That is just an example. Now, the people who are in the news a lot--Britney, Paris, etc, I think that they crave that extra attention.

It is a love hate thing between celeb and the press. They need each other because with the press, you don't get famous and don't get paid an awful lot of money for roles, or Cd's or whatever your thing is. But once you are famous, and already get all those things, celebs all of a sudden want more privacy, and they get sick of the press them following around forever

I think they love the publicity it gives them 'cause it = star power, but no doubt whether it is good or bad publicity, they could feel very empowered or very hurt and then have to make some decisions that would help them personally and in their career....hurtful publicity, I feel, comes about by their own hand generally and that's when it is hard to accept.

Lindsay Lohan, Christina Aguilera, and a few of the other younger ones said that they don't like people making things up about them and all the stupid rumors but they know it's part of of being a big shot so they've learned to deal with it

i think a lot of times they just want to be left alone to live their lives i think the stars get sick of allways being in the public eye. but sometimes they put their self in the spot light
