I think that when you die, you return to the same state as you were in before you were born.

I think many people believe in an afterlife, in whatever form - heaven, reincarnation etc. - because people are generally scared of dying and they want to think that you will go on to something else after you die. The concept of heaven, for example is a pure invention by the church to prey on peoples fear of dying. If you conform to their rules during life (you can even sin, as they have this wonderful get-out with confession and repentence) you will go to a wonderful place and 'live' for eternity.

I personally am not that worried about dying simply because, I am not worried about the time before I was born. I think that when you die, it is the same as a long dreamless sleep.

It's tempting for many to believe that this may be all we've got, as it seems so substantial and the afterlife pictures are so amorphous, scary, or just plain boring. But if God's right (and he usually is), this earthly life is just a vague foreshadowing of the real life to come. (See the Bible, and CS Lewis's "The Great Divorce".)

Probably not.

Which means, as the wise philosopher B Carlisle once said "Heaven is a place on Earth."

Make the most of every second here instead of waiting on an ever after that will probably never happen.

if energy cannot be created or destroyed and only change form then the electrical currents which run through our body and brain must transform into another source of energy. maybe if you live a good life, without a massive ego, this energy could ascend to a collective consciousness of white light. like all those near death experiences we hear about.

but is there an after-death, either?
no there is not
the bible is quite plain about this.

the dead feel, hear & know NOTHING.
they return 2 Dust whence they came.

all minerals & substances in the Human Body can B found on this planet,
we're part of its make-up & is why we should care 4 our Earth & treat her with respect.
but alas we don't!

I can't see how there can be. There is no evidence to suggest that life is anything other than a biological process that terminates at death. There is no shred of credible evidence for survival after death.
But hey, we're all going to find out, aren't we?

No. You live, you die, you decay, you cease to exist, like the millions of people, animals and plants before you.
Make the most of the life you have...it's all you get.

I personally don't think so. But that is my personal opinion I could be wrong or I could be right. But one thing I do believe in is life BEFORE death.

Yes God say their is a heaven....and if you believe in him he says "i will propare a place for you".
There is a HELL and a lake of eternal burning and suffering.
Their is a physical death or in hell a spirital death.
Yes thier is a heaven and an afterlife.

Only by faith in God can you be saved...
