I have a 2003 Dodge Ram 2500. In the past two weeks, my brakes have been squeeling. I took the brakes off and cleaned them. I noticed the pads, which still has lots of life were pitted. The rotors were fine. After they were cleaned for about two days it stopped. Now they are squeeling again. Does anyone have any suggestions? I live in Ontario, Canada. The weather here had been quite cold, and our roads are always salty, just thought I'd add that. Thanks in advance.

They sell this disc brake quiet at most auto parts stores. They sell this particular one at Napa. The same that i use. This stuff works great.its like a silicone that you apply to the BACK SIDE of your brake pads. What this stuff does is deadens the sound of the squeal so much to where you cant hear it.I know your wondering how a product that applys to the back of each pad actually works but go out and buy some!! This CRC brake quiet stuff is great!! They do make a spray on version but it doesnt work as well in my opinion.Get the silicone type and not the spray. You can get this stuff at any parts store.Just remember to apply it to the BACK of each pad and not the front where it meets the rotor.I have used this stuff for years and never have had a squeaky brake again!! Good luck i hope this helps but i know it will!!

there is also a VSS (motor motor vehicle % Sensor) on the transmission which will be failing. the ABS gadget also makes use of this sensor to discover how straight away the output shaft of the transmission is turning. is makes use of this ideas to calculate the speed of the rear wheels. If this ideas does now no longer calculate out properly, the ABS gadget will toss out an challenge code. this also renders the ABS gadget inactive in a great number of circumstances. with the gadget truly being Rear ABS, it makes problem taking pictures slightly plenty a lot less stressful. i'd commence up with the VSS because the speedometer receives optimal of its ideas from it.

next time you pull the pads off, try using a medium grit sand paper and sand both the pads and rotors (just enough to destroy the shiny suface) then apply some no-squeek gel before you re-assemble
