I always asked my mum what she wanted, or needed. She was always aware of my money situation and would name things she was interested in, and I could afford.
I would always squeeze a bit for a little surprise as well.
All the best to you and your mum!

What about a voucher for her to get her hair done, or perhaps a nice relaxing treatment at a beauty salon? Is there any show she'd like to go to see in a theatre that you could get tickets for? I'm taking my mum for a day out this year. I've given her the choice of a few places/attractions so she can pick were she'd really like to go, and then we'll have dinner somewhere on the way home. Spending time with, rather than money on, your Mum would probably be a great gift for her.

i always enjoy getting them, or a nice flowery plant that will last

write her a letter thanking her for all she does, do little things for her that you would normally leave to her, and give a hug
all free but always well received, explain that no present would be good enough to explain your gratitude to her.
I know because I am a mum of four and if they are not buying me diamonds lol this will do nicely thank you

Well if you have a lot of pictures from the past events that you and your mother have shared, then you could make a scrapbook.
I did that for my mom and she loved it.
Depends what your mom likes.
But there's an idea.

Chocolates, flowers, plants, a nice picture frame with a picture you know she will like in it, alcohol, candles, all I have for now.
Just get a present based on what she is interested in.
