As in the news, can someone tell me updates on what happens next as like many hundred others, my car did not start at all yesterday (Thu) and today (Fri) after buying Petrol at Tesco on Wed night. Whether the Insurance or Tesco is going to compensate in any way for fixing it. Thanks 4 your time.

Tesco and Morrison's are denying they are to blame at the moment, so make sure you keep a sample of your petrol until this is resolved, because until it is resolved no one can claim any thing from them but if your insurance is fully comp you can claim for repairs to your car as this is classed as accidental damage

Hi, saw on the news this morning that you should go back to the garage where you got the petrol from. The onus is on the garage to prove that it wasn't the petrol that has caused the damage to your car. It is NOT down to you to try and prove it was tesco's petrol. Go to Tescos where you bought the petrol and tell them they have to be resposible for your garage bill. DON'T LET THEM FOB YOU OFF!
hope you get some where with it.

well tests are still being done on the fuel and the results will be given later today so keep an eye on the news.leading supermarket chains are advising people to keep all receipts.i heard this morning that the tests may come back inconclusive as the fuel is used so much that the last of any contaminated fuel may be long gone and no traces will be found, hope this helps.
I also read that any contaminated fuel would not affect ford or vauxhall cars

take your reciept and show a mechanic and get it fixed, then give the bill and proof that it was due to the petrol... then they will give you a refund of the petrol and the fixing costs...
