I would wait until you have missed your period or at least until its time for it. I dont think pregnanacy tests are very accurate before that time. good luck! My husband and I are trying also.

How soon can I test? Well, first you gotta know how the test works. Briefly: the home pregnancy test (HPT) works by detecting a hormone called human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG.) When an egg is fertilized, it takes about 6 to 12 days to implant in the uterus, and then it begins to secrete hCG. It takes another day or two for enough hCG to build up and make its way into your pee. So, generally speaking, the earliest you can expect a positive HPT is 8 days past ovulation ("DPO") and the latest would be about 16 DPO. It is possible to get a positive test earlier or later, but not as common. In my experience, if you use a sensitive "early" test (anything that detects 25 mIU/mL of hCG or less) you can test around 12-14 DPO and feel reasonably secure with your results (the later you test, the more secure you can feel in its accuracy.)

If you do not chart or monitor your fertility in any way, and you think you may have conceived, you should wait 19 days (or longer) after having sex to test. Why 19?! Sperm can live approximately 5 days in the proper environment; if the sperm managed to live until you popped an egg, the actual conception could have taken place several days after the sex act that got the sperm there. To make sure you're not testing too early, assume the sperm had very long lives (5 days is considered a very long sperm life) and that conception occurred then. Then allow 14 days for the embryo to implant and develop enough hCG to show up on a pregnancy test (96% of pregnant women will test positive by then.)

I am in the same position as you hun! I have been advised the earliest you can do a test in order to get an accurate result is the day your period is true. There are tests on the market that supposedly can predict upto a couple of days before you are due but the results are not always accurate. All women are different and the tests go by the amount of HCG levels in your body but some womens bodies are slow at producing these- I heard about one women who was 6 weeks pregnant by the time she got a positive result. Goof Luck !!

Please leave it till at least two weeks after your period was due. most HPT tests dont pick up HCG levels below 25, and if you are pregnant you level may be lower than 25 at the time of testing. Even the early testing ones require at the minimum level of 15, some at 20 and some still at 25. Leaving it this long will allow the levels to go over that amount, according to medics, and would result in a positive HPT.

I wish you hope and luck hun!

Normally I'd say 14 days after ovulation, however, the best home pregnancy test on the market states that you can test 5 days earlier than your missed period. In your case, you can test tomorrow (3/3). Good luck honey.

Most home tests are 99% reliable from the first day of your missed period.
Some tests can give results before then, but the results are not very accurate and you might get a negative result even if you are pregnant.
I didn't get a positive result until 3 days after my period was due. An 'early detection' test I did the day AFTER my period was due gave me a negative result.

you can now buy tests which you can do as early as 4-5 days before you are due on your period but i first did one of them when i was first pregnant and it said i wasnt pregnant but i actually was, i then did one about a month later and it said i was ! your best bet is to go to the doctors and do a test there , good luck hope you are or get pregnant soon !
