Also if you have friends in companies they are more likely to higher a friends kid then someone they do not know.
Having connections can make it easier to get ahead but in America anyone can get ahead no matter who your parents are.

If you mean questions like caste, then no, that doesn't matter in the American job market. Of course, if your family is well-known and well-connected then it's much easier to get a job. Even the dumbest child of a millionaire is virtually guaranteed to get a well-paying job.
