It is found out that those who are good at math are also good at computer science but not all that are good at computer science are good at math...yet, it somehow improves your mathematical skills...so how is it done???

It forces you to think of math in more than just a base-ten system, since computers don't actually use base-ten, but base-two (binary), base eight, base sixteen (hexadecimal), and other multiples of two.

That helps you begin to understand math in a whole new light, and if you can understand the mathematics involvied in computer sciences, it makes base-ten mathematics a whole lot easer to comprehend as well.

At least it did and does for me.

Computer Science is a different type of map, that requires a different type of thinking a bit (i'm good at both :)

straight math is mostly about hard formal logic and proofs. Take calculus, in serious classes, all exam problems start with "prove that...". You need a solid understanding of underlying logical principles, and solid abstract thinking capability allowing you to visualize weird constructs.

computer science is mroe about buliding a process, "divide and conquer" - in order to solve this bigger problem, what's the most economical way to break it into two separate ones? computer science involves no manipulation with numbers (i havent' had to use anything more complicated than multiplication in years for work). Computer science-related stuff is easier to visualize and understand. It's more of an engineering specialty than it is a pure science.

People with solid math write better programs since they understand mathematical proofs behind their program structure. Others may however come up with equally good stuff on the base of intuition, without ever bothering to figure out what a formal proof is.

people who are good at maths are also good at computer science because mathematical problems help in improving logic and problem solving capabalities which are required for good programming..i feel people who are good at computer science will be most of the times good at maths too but they will not be able to give quality programs with lesser complexity as latter requires excellent mathematical skills.

when you're really good at higher math, it usually means two things: you've perfected your logic skills, which are necessary in any computer programming, and you've got a knack for numbers. but if you take someone who is good at computer science, they've probably got the logic part down but may not be able to add/multiply etc. in their heads very well.
