You don't stop it. You live with it until menopause.

There is no pill for stopping menstruation in women. While it is true that some forms of contraceptive pills do have the side effect of changing how often and how long a woman menstruates, it doesn't stop the process from happening. A woman's period is a natural part of being female. Some female animals can only have a baby once a year but for us lucky human females, we get to have that chance approximately every 28 days. Actually, the most fertile time is for about a week in between the time you menstruate. Menstruation is needed if you are not growing a fetus within you. Sorry if you don't like your period but it is a natural and normal part of what it means to be a woman. Even women who have their tubes tied often still have periods. So, like the rest of us, you will just have to wait till you are in your 50s or 60s and go through menopause to rid yourself of your monthly period. And then you have hot-flashes to look forward to! ;-)
