"Love even your Enemy"

"Show the other cheek"

Such statements, do they indicate the Ultimate weapon of the Lord to conquer Satan is Pure and Divine Love even for the so called Lord's servant *** Enemy Satan ?

What do you think ?

I think this is a difficult question to answer. Scriptures do show that Christ innevitably defeats Satan...and Satan is referred to as an enemy...something that needs conquering.
But at the same time, Satan is a lost servant...
So, I know what you mean-sometimes I wonder if I shouldn't be seeing Satan with sad eyes....as the ultimate lost lamb? in essence, does that mean that one should pray, interceeding on satan's behalf? i don't really know.
but thanks for making me think a little.

A. THe bible has plenty of instances of brutality, violence, and mass slaughter to "conquer" the enemy. So why assume that love is the only weapon?

God slaughtered thousands of 1st-born children in order to change one man's mind. Think of that.

Did god, the all-powerful creator of all things, use love to change his mind? Did he just snap his fingers and whisk his people away from the pharaoh? Did he simply change the pharaoh's mind? No, he "hardened his heart" and killed thousands of babies in one night which STILL didn't change the pharaoh's mind for long.

So love is not the only answer.

B. There is no satan and no lord, so you can relax.
