Is it possible to configure the Netgear DG834G v2 router to work with the new BT Voyager Modem with VOIP? I think this means disabling the ADSL modem part of the router and just using it as a Wireless access point - but I can't find instructions on how to make one of the ethernet ports into an uplink port - for the cable from the Voyager box. Any help?

Yes it means disabling DHCP on the Netgear and using it as a wireless AP. Have a look at www.buildyourown.org.uk/forums/

I have a voyager 220v and a linksys wireless router. All I had to do to get it working was to configure the linksys with a different IP address to the voyager and set it in "Bridge mode only". I then just plug in two Ethernet cables one to the voyager and the other to the pc.

Don't forget to enable your wireless security. I disabled SSID broadcast and enable WPA passkey. I also have MAC filtering to only allow known devices.

The solution was so simple for me (after pulling my hair out for days). Hope your router has bridge mode. Note - DHCP has to be disabled, as it would conflict with the voyager.

Apart from the conventional answers you are bound to get on this one, I would say that this communication problem is best dealt with by your chief engineer.
The Starship Commanders' flight manual clearly states,... 'that problems of this nature should come under the auspices and responsibility of the team that's best equipped to deal them'.
In addition, the prime directive for Starship Communication equipment section 6, sub section 5.4, year 8361, states that, 'flight commanders must not spend unnecessary time worrying about the 'nuts and bolts'(20th Century term, I'm afraid!) of the craft and its workings'.
With this in mind, we all wish you luck and a safe journey to the Vector 7 sector.
