When its trying to drain can you hear the pump going. If not there may be a problem with the pump. if you can hear it then it may well be blocked.

Check the fluff filter if it has one, or see if you can see down the pipe at the back to see if anything obvious is blocking it. Otherwise it could well be getting a repair person out unfortunatley.

If you are technically minded unscrew and take the top off the machine. then you might be able to take the back or side off. Have a look at the piping at the bottom of the machine. Some have these as fairly transparent and you'll be able to see if they are dark and blocked.

Sorry can't be more helpful than that.

well id do wot above suggests to do failing that if u puttin it on setting just b4 end of a cyclewhere usually it pumps the water out and then goes into a final spin,if u do that and u can hear nothin then i wd say it sound s like yr pump has gone, can be repaired but by prof engineers which is expensive think just the call out charges, can start form a set price of £40, fink it cheaper in end to get new one, if u shop around u can get ne for £100. Might not come to that,if it defo wont drain,id get out as much water as poss cos it will smell after few hours. The waste pipe could be blocked,so pull it out an hav a look. Or finally,on front of all washers at bottom theres a dial which u twist n turn and pull out an it could be blocked with washing powder an crap, plenty of towels are needed as is the mop and plenty of patience! talking from experience as a busy mum with 3 kids and a washing machine that seems to be permantly on! GOOD LUCK im off to load me washing x

Bound to be the fluff filter. Open it up and clean it. Alternatively, check the outlet pump - last year the underwire from one of my wife's bra's got out and jammed it!!! Fortunately didn't damage anything, but the pump motor couldn't turn. Depends on your machine where it's located, but not too technical to access and check. MAKE SURE TO DRAIN ALL THE WATER FROM THE MACHINE!!! Otherwise you'll have a real mess on your hands. Good luck!

Turn off the electric supply first.Place an old towell and a shallow baking dish under the small filter door on the front.Undo the filter plug(anti clockwise and carefully ease out the filter.Water will come out,so push the filter back in when dish is full.Repeat untill empty.Withdraw filter completely, and clean. With a screwdriver, check that the impellor(pump blade) inside the filter housing turns smoothly.Remove any obstructions(coins and hairgrips, pins etc).Refit filter, and rinse and pump out to test.

take out the drain hose and put a basin on the floor the machine will empty keep an eye on it as the basin will fill when the machine is empty if you had any handyman to open the pump as it is more than likely blocked but plug machine out first
