I have a similar problem.... the last tenants in my house over planted rubber tree in my garden with my grape vines.... I have tried pulling it out too many times to count, but it keeps coming back...... this year I had a gardener come out.... he pulled it out, then layed down a black tarp sorta thing...... I guess to deprive it of oxygen..... then i am to take up the tarp in spring...... I hope this will work.

Well..... You could get a cow..... If you get a dairy cow, it can serve double duty! (I'd check zoning ordinances first tho, lol)

Obvious answer is to remove enough of the plants so that the ones remaining are spread out better. I'd then give the plants to someone else, so they could enjoy them too.

You might even check to see if there is a 'community garden' near you, which would like to have the extra plants.
