I go to
http://www.pandora.com
then I create a radio station based on the most depressing heart wrenching songs I can think of.
Currently I have a station based off of Landslide by the Smashing Pumpkins, Warmness on the Soul by Avenged Sevenfold, and some Evanescence song I can't think of right off hand.
Point being, this song always plays sad *** songs that I like, and if I think it's too upbeat of a song, i just thumbs down it, and it skips to a new song right away.

When I'm feeling down I want to get out of that mood, not reinforce it. So....
I put on some of my son's music from when he was very young. Yes, kid's music - Sesame street, the Peter Pan (musical) soundtrack, even Disney.
Randy Peterson (a local kid's musician) is great fun, and good music. With songs like "Wiggle Wiggle", "My Brother Eats Bugs", and "Singin' A Song(Can Cure A Case of the Blues)", how can you be sad? I grew up with many of the professional musicians that form his back-up band. Let me tell you, this is not your typical children's music.
For total wackiness - any of the Jim Copp-Ed Brown music from Playhouse Records is just the ticket. We have all 9 of their cassettes.
Giving yourself over to the fun and silliness of "kid's" music will remove away any chance of being depressed.

Scarface's Suicide notice The track of this music is dark and dreary. The lyrics are VERY depressing. The music is a few guy disagreement with experiencing his suitable chum's self inflicted homicide.

Not one for cheery tunes myself-i prefer something mellow and deep when I'm down-anything by Radiohead (the Bends really loud usually shakes the blues), Tim Buckley or Tom McCrae.

If you are depressed, try a song that can forget ur problems. Problems make us depressed. I would suggest I'm Not Okay by My Chemical Romance because if I will look at it, it expresses the feelins that you cannot take it anymore. Also "Don't Give Up" by Josh Groban. Its lyrics gives you faith. Try to look for its lyrics.
