Hello,

(ANS) Refuse the government the option to renew Trident nuclear missles i.e. the UK's so called independant nuclear deterant which isnt independant anyway. Tony Blair cannot push the button even if he wanted to, why? because it depends upon the US government agreeing. So thats why its NOT independant.

**Its a MASSIVE WASTE of billions of £ of UK tax payers money and committs us to something that we will be incredibly unlikely to ever use anyway. The whole concept of an independant nuclear deterant is out of date (was conceived in the 1960-70's & the cold war era).

Now the global threats have changed beyond recognition into climate change & insane Mula's i.e. Al Quida and Mr. Bin Lardin who wants to take us all back to the stone age and the dawn of islam.

**The tax payers money would be wasted on Trident mark II because this coutry could use the funds to improve conditions for ALL UK people. Build more schools, hospitals, improve the countries infra structure significantly. But No! arrogant politicians want to waste our money on WMD which will never be used. Mean while doing nothing to deal with the more pressing problems.

We need to get lot of consultants and set up lots of quangos to look into this problem.Hire more managers for the NHS.Stage the 2012 Olympics.Repaint the dome,Get a big new computer system for the NHS.Build some fighter planes with Europe which can fly at 9 million miles an hour( very handy at stopping a suicide bomber on the tube) give Ken Livingstone more power.Give more housing and benifit to anyone who steps off a boat.Make every other person in the country a health and safety officer.Make sure all the prisoners are all comfy.Start a couple of wars on the other side of the world.Keep John Prescott.Did I say get some more consultants..............

What we do not need in U K is a new I C B M system costing trillions. Paying the family, and all the hangers on, of the worlds richest woman millions of taxpayers pounds and allowing the many thousands of illegal immigrants freedom to remain in this country, who commit bennefit fraud on a grand scale. That would be a start.

Individual level we can not do much. The Govt expenditure is more or less for populist measures to get votes. They may not be economically viable/perhaps even waste only. What we can do is to try to mobilise public opinion ,through mass media/newspapers etc.The best solution in a democratic country is only electing best people for governing the country.

I think that wasting money is almost a prime function of government.
However it can get out of hand as is the present case.
The best bet is to remember the problem when the next election comes around and vote them out.

It's too late for the moment. Your possible next PM, Gordon Brown, has already wasted so much, imagine what he can do when he thinks he's the PM? Only chance is to vote them out at the next general election.

The problem is the people can not completely unite, such as to not pay taxes. If enough did, then it would get leadership's attention in a right fast mo!

Start at the top..Make them pay for their own transport, food and fine wine. Streamline their secretary's and offices. Only allow them their own homes to live in, all hotels bills should be kept to a minimum. Boats, Planes and train fares should not be paid to them. NO, more jolly jaunts to far flung shores to talk about world poverty....I can see the pounds rolling in can you?
