I had to give 60 days notice per court order before leaving, I did. Never received a reply from ex or court. Talked to my lawyer he said I could go with kids. Now I have been sent a notice telling me I have to go back for a hearing to modify custody. I beleive that a hearing should have taken place during my 60 days notice not after I have moved to another country and the court custody case knew I was returning, it was a big issue of the custody case. Ex had his lawyer submit a copy of the Hague Convention treaty act. Interested in anyone who might have some experience with international custody cases.

I dont what efffect your out of country residency will have but typically if one parent does not show up in family court in a custody hearing the other side wins automatically.
