how can i sell my cartoons?

i draw funny animal cartoons but dont know how to sell them or get them noticed, any help appreciated

you can upload them to stock photo houses (online sites like "istock.com" or "shutterstock.com") - then users purchase them for which you recieve a roayalty payment.. quality images can garner a good chunk of change, over time.. a lot of these stock housese are owned by larger companies - that will license your stuff more exclusively if they like it (ie more money for you)

HOWEVER

if you are really good - you may want to consider an artist rep, they essentially act as you agent and get you gigs (read about pros and cons here: http://www.creativepro.com/story/feature/22043.html).. however if you pursue this option they may frow on your presence on chepa stock house as mentioned above - as it squanders the "brand exclusivity"

Go to a cheap shop, in Australia they are called 2dollars stores buy yourself cheap frames and sell the drawing on ebay. Even better make a website and make them sound rare and expensive and then sell them on ebay and also providing the link to the website. Have fun

in some cases if you get a large amount of mock up comics and create a portfolio then you can try and get appointments with distributors or perhaps t.v channels such as Cartoon Network then you will be able to see of they are what they want.

One idea may be to the BBC Comedy Soup website, but I'm not sure if they take images at the moment.
