I placed a bid on ebay for a couple of things, but I didnt realise it meant that I had to buy them if I won, and I don't particularly want to buy them now. Is there anyway I can get out of it? I don't mind if I get kicked off Ebay or banned, I just don't want to buy these things.

Cheers

yes you dont have to buy the item if you do not want to. If you want to continue to use ebay I might suggest that you to see if the seller and you can work something out. Sometimes they will let you just pay for there listing. I would suggest to see what you can do cause you might need that site again at one time or another. And it is not fair to the selller as well. I am not trying to be rude cause I no that happen to me at one time. But the selller and I worked something out. GOod luck

What did you think it meant?

I think you should be a person of your word and pay for them. People like you is what makes eBay a pain to work with. Grow up!

no. if the time-honored auction hasnt ended you are able to retract your bid. if the time-honored auction has ended you are able to prefer to touch the broking provider. he/she would manage to then open a dispute that then you adjust to. the time-honored auction is then cancelled and his/her costs are lower back to them. its rather stressful even nevertheless as quickly as you're a broking provider so have your apologies waiting!! prefer this helps.

you just hope someone would outbid you, or you can just ignore the winning (if you win), or contact the seller ASAP about you retract the bid.

You can retract your bid, or if you win just don't pay for it.
