When this phenomena occurs in the Roman Catholic Church it is investigated until disproved or deemed miraculous. Unfortunately sometimes this is faked. Sometimes it is accidentally. Certain religious oil paintings have been known to cry tears of oil. Then it is learned that the oil painting had not properly dried. If it has red dye it can be mistaken for bloody tears. Condensation on a religious statue can appear as tears.

Other times the phenomena is not disproved and deemed miraculous. The Blessed Virgin Mother crying real, human tears for the sad state of affairs our old world is in, for the death of innocents in abortion. There is even an icon in Japan that reportedly shed real, human tears for the bombing of Hiroshima during WWII. Stranger things have happened. It is better to believe in good faith than to lose faith.

If you are making a report of this it would be very interesting for your class to learn about all the different points of views of people, and conclude your presentation with your own opinion on the subject, of course be ready to make some enemies whatever your opinion is. I used this subject on my speech 1 class( public speaking) and I made a girl who was very nice with me till the time I gave my own opinion, hate me. I am convince that this is fake and is just a way used by some religions to manipulate people and make their business grow.

Look at it like this ... if one statue of Mary, mother of Christ, cried tears of blood, why didn't all the other statues cry tears of blood?

It's NOT real any way you look at it.
