It would be good to go to marriage counselling together before deciding on a divorce. Some problems can be overcome and people do stay together. marriage is a commitment, fight for it, seek counselling whatever, but only divorce if there really is no other option

Only if they are willing. Counselling doesn't help those who don't want help. Why? Because the people seeking counselling do the work. It would be a total waste of time and money if one or niether party wasn't interested in the relationship anymore. Of course, marriage counsellors would make a lot more money that way!

i do believe that if people went to counseling that more marriages could be saved. but often times one person wants the help and the other doesn't, because they have begun another relationship and won't even consider counseling. if they got therapy maybe there wouldn't be a divorce. both parties have to want the therapy.

You can take a horse to water but you cant make it drink,if papers have been served maybe its too late.Ask the question,it might be just what she's wanted and didn't know how to tell you things weren't right.A family member did that to their partner and now both are very happy, things can sometimes work out for the best, but not always..
Good luck whatever happens..

Definately!! Marriage takes work, sacrifice, and understanding. If they can't figure this out themselves, sometimes it takes a lil help.
