welll...i m from Punjab and i know which are the good places to visit.
In punjab if u want to go to holy place go to Amritsar(golden temple).
If u want to go to see the royal gendery then Chandigarh and Ludhiana.

Punjab is very big and you can visit many places... but instead of visiting one place just take a tour which cover 2-3 destinations. If need help pls visit http://www.holidayclubindia.net

If u wanna see indian housery industry in small city; visit Ludhiana.
