I'm looking for some good books to read with amazing fight scenes. Something on the level of the Bourne Identity, People Die, Neuromancer, or the Blue Belle. Any suggestions?

Chuck Palahniak (sp?)'s book Fight Club is pretty intense.

Inventing Wyatt Earp: His Life and Many Legends by Allen Barra spends some time on the OK Corral shootout that is every bit as good as the movie version. More intense, really.

The Golden Compass, The Subtle Knife, and The Amber Spyglass by Philip Pullman are a fantasy series with some great battles, including one with armored bears. (Talking polar like bears that make and wear armor, like knights).

There was a really good medieval sounding fight scenes at the end of Eragon. The author only made the characters sound medieval. Another really good fight scene was in Sabriel. Eragon is by Christopher Paolini. Sabriel is by Garth Nix.

There's some great fight scenes in Malory's Morte d'Arthur. Big medieval battles with knights etc. Much maiming and decapitation.

If you don't fancy trying to translate middle english try John Steinbecks' modern retelling called 'The Acts of King Arthur and his Noble Knights'.
