can we finally impeach him?

Hey slick, technically Libby commited treason during wartime by outing a CIA agent, an offense with only one penalty according to US Law - death by hanging. Don't get me wrong, that's not right but don't call it much adue about nothing you ignorant youngster.

Before Libby is eligible for a pardon, he needs to be found guilty of a crime, which as of this morning, hasn't happened yet.

Second, use of the Presidential pardon is not an impeachable offense. It is allowed by law, so that makes it neither a high crime nor a misdemenor.

Third, the law applies to outing of covert operatives. Plame was not a covert operative, she was an analyst. No missions were destroyed and no lives were risked when people found out about her. That is why Libby was not brought up on treason charges or any other crimes, but hit with perjury charges because of his testimony and his failure to remember who he told and when he told them.

Talk about much ado about nothing. I am not in the Bush camp and can see that the whole proceeding is a waste of time. Nothing more than a politically motivated hatchet job. Nice example of how things will run under the Democrats.

Edit :
Hey Beau, I don't think I could be called a youngster in anyones book, but thanks anyhow.

Technically, you don't know what the hell you are talking about, since you did not even get the charges right. Libby is being prosecuted for covering his *** in how it all happened, basically for not telling the truth. (Gee sounds strangely similar our last Democrat President, imagine THAT).The special prosecutor has not even decided if any criminal stautes were even broken by her being "outed".
But...you did do a nice job of parroting the party line for the Left, I'll give you that. Nice try boy. but you are up to late.

Libby in all possibility gets a pardon, in spite of being accountable of a severe crime. whilst Bush is impeached, Cheney will pardon him. And whilst Cheney is charged, a clean Republican will pardon him. entire corruption.

Libby did nothing wrong. the case should have never been brought to trial. Bush needs to right this wrong. Pardon IS part of the presidential powers and IS NOT listed in the Impeachable offenses list. It must kill you libs that you just cannot get him HUh?

No, because Bush will wait until the day before he leaves office to pardon him. They will let Libby hang & do a short sentence in a plush, high-class "prison" facility. Then they'll clean the slate, as most presidents do on their final day in office.

Does NO ONE care that a US intelligence agent was outed during wartime by someone in the Bush Administration?

This, if anything, gives comfort and aid to our enemies. Cheney should rot in hell for his duplicitous methods in securing the means to sell the American people on HIS plan for war.

Well if he pardoned that guy and wont pardon those two border patrol agents then 'I' would be for impeaching him. And I have regularly said there was nothing to impeach him over.

This was punishment for crticism of the President's policy. Sounds like someting the Kremlin in Russia would do. Sad and arrogant.
