The US has preserved freedom for all of Europe (and most of the middle east and most of Asia when they were overrun by tyraanical dictators); reversed a global nuclear arms race; been the main and primary source of economic and social development for tiny little countries like Costa Rica to superpowers like China; led the world time again with technical and medical innovation (saving hundreds of millions of lives worldwidse in the process); given billions of dollars in aid and charity to countries in need; provided a home for the world's persecuted and homeless; allowed even the poorest people with he most f-ed up backgrounds to become glabally influential leaders (Oprah, anyone?); provided a global model for democracy, government structure and a just legal system (one I might add that has ben adopted by more countries than any other governing system in history ---- I need two million more available character spaces for this reply!
True - America has made some tragic mistakes due to inept leadership and a passive, ignorant population (see: our current leadership and the people who re-elected them).
But you who answered "nothing" above should all be ashamed of yourselves. This country has been the model of greatness - the ultimate superpower nation that no other country has been able to outperform, out-innovate or out-democratize. So if you really feel that way, you flip little traitors, please leave my country and go back to wherever your ungrateful self came from.

In 1941 to 1945 It stopped people from speaking German in Britain and Europe! And it stopped people from speaking Japanese in Australia and New Zea land and all the island Nations in the Pacific! And it will stop us jumping up and down now, screaming out hate messages in Arabic! Wont it? Have a good day.

They have given us fast food (which is cheap and, with good regulations, could become healthy too); beaten the Nazis & the Soviets; brought man to the moon; and set a good example on how to live your life with a positive outlook & with self-belief.
They have also made us all more appreciative of the democratic freedoms we have (or used to / may one day again have). And they have kept the Asians out of & the Europeans in the biggest/richest economy medal positions for decades.
