i've had this condition since i were 10yrs old, been bullied thro school b'cos of it, i was also told that i could never have children, thankfully i have been blessed with 3 children, i would love to have 1 more child, and also give my partner a child as he has none. but i'm scared that i won't be able to, i want my excess hair to be gone, i have it really bad on my face, neck, stomach, back, arms, i have to shave up to 3-4 times a day in order to keep it at bay,i want to know if having a hysterctomy would make this condition go away, i feel like a freak!!

PCOS is an endocrine disorder, hysterectomy will not cure PCOS but I have met some women who went on Glucophage (a medication that treats Diabetes) to help the insulin resistance that they may have (this is one step below full blown Diabetes) . And they (one lady in particular that I used to know) found that it regulated their periods, and that they were able to get pregnant successfully.
Some women are also using alternative treatments to treat their PCOS.
To learn more about what some of them are doing check out: http://www.pcosupport.org
Pls feel free to e-mail me privately any time.

Miscarriages are very difficult, I understand but taking your life is not something you should even consider.
I would consult a Perinatologist, they deal with pregnacies with this condition on a regular basis. They are even more specialized than a high risk ob doctor. There is information at Perinatology.com that may help you. These type of doctors can even do fetal surgery, multiples, preterm labor, and cases like your POS wiht miscarriages.
I would also speak to your doctor about your depression. Don't suffer with these feelings in silence. The children you have need you very much. They would forever be scared if you ended your life because you can't have children with your current partner.
Please think of them first, get help so you can be a good Mommy to the children you have already been blessed with.
I would speak to your doctor about your other symptoms as well and if a hysterectomy will help. I am sure your partner would much rather have you in his life than have you commit suicide because you can't give him a child.

I'm sorry to hear about this. Unfortunatly I don't think that there is much of a permenent cure. Maybe you and your partner could adopt another child. Look on the bright side. There are enough people in the world already and plenty of kids that need a good home. Also, unlike alot of women with your condition, you have mothered three beautiful children. I know it's hard to see the positive side. You sound like you're deperessed and need some support.

You have 3 children, that is all the reason in the world to live for. You are still very young and medical advancements happen rapidly in the 21st century. You have to try and think positive at all the blessings you have. You have struggled to get so far, there are those among us with no vision,no legs no hearing or disfigured images whom still thrive and achieve great things in life. I know it's rough and it will probably be that way for a while...but you need to be strong, stronger then the average person. You have to show courage and faith for the best...if not for you then for your children. I have read about your condition, it's a tough one...but you can fight it, never give up. I wish you the best, and am willing to go out of my way to help you if necessary, feel free to e-mail me. Remember you are Worth to much.....

I understand how you feel. I was diagnosed with TS ( Turner Syndrome) when I was 18. I'm 21 now. Very late. I know. But my point is They told me I can't have kids at all. That was really hard. But hang in there. You have 3 kids that are depending on you. If it's meant for you and your partner to have a child, it will happen.

new york is ordinary as "new york" because of the fact formerly a prominent people hero (Johnny Appleseed) planted a single seed interior the direction of the city. Then, in an peculiar warp in area-time, a boy named Jack planted a seed he believed to be magical interior the comparable spot. In what remains seen a marveling organic and organic progression, the two seeds fused mutually on a molecular point. After an remarkable rain, the seed hybrid grew into an apple 300ft tall and approximatively 330ft huge. The strangest element being the absence of a tree. it variety of feels the apple replaced into thoroughly favourite, different than it grew straight away from the floor with its very own roots like a beanstalk of a few variety. for some years yet to return, people could bypass to the city and look up on the impossible fruit and picture "it rather is a huge apple". After a mutually as people began touching on the city itself as "new york". yet then, 1943 Oct eleventh, something unusual occurred. because of the fact the city laid to chill out, the night as quickly as back upon them, there replaced right into a magnificent flash of crimson gentle. The flash lasted for almost 4-5 seconds. no one is for particular what brought about the flash, yet as quickly because it replaced into over the apple had basically disappeared. no longer basically had it vanished, the floor it had grown from had closed as though it have been on no account there. some say the apple had grown so great it created some variety of fruity supernova and collapsed in on itself in a black hollow. some say the extraterrestrial beings responsible for the death of the dinosaurs got here back and destroyed the apple besides. We could on no account be responsive to precisely what occurred that night, yet one element is for valuable. That replaced right into a great-*** apple.

Don't give up on yourself. It sound like you may need someone to talk to that can relate to you. I'm a guy, but hey...I'm a nurse so I can give you some direction. I suggest you start by checking this site out...then possibly, start looking for someone you can counsel with. I think if you understand you are not alone, and can find someone to relate to, it may take that load of bricks off your shoulders! Take Care!
