Great question
In the US, most people would say play.
Outside, most would say watch.
Playing is obviously much healthier but watching high quality matches is very interesting as well.

Both if you are with a group of people... watching a football match with group of friends is way better than watching it alone..i remember watching Germany vs Costarica in Egypt in a club..we were about 10 000 people it was soo amazing.. and the club put around 3 tvs....
but surely player soccer is also exciting... especially when you score and celebrate the goal with your friends

Play no doubt, but if I would make to chose, I would go watch a game because you can play every day but good games are once in a month!!!!!

i like watching a game and then going out with friends to play, because watching it gets me in the mood to play it lol

I like to play, but I'm completely rubbish. So I will have to go with watching. Now that I can do very well.

I only play for fun...I like the coaching/training side of things better for participation and of course I love to watch, any game, anytime.

Playing soccer is more enjoyable than watching bcz in playing we have involve in game personnaly.
