I like a 24 year-old japanese guy who works in the same factory as I do. Im nineteen and he speaks a little of my native language (spanish) and I do speak a little of japanese too.
In the case that he likes me too, do I have to make the first step? Should I wait for him to ask me out? How does he expects me to act when he`s around?
I would like to know how do they, generally, act in relationships or if they flirt. He seems very shy and well-behaved, but who knows.
Thanks in advance!

Many Japanese guys including me are shy. He may not ask you out for good. You should ask him out. You don't have to hesitate to. It's no problem because we Japanese tend to think that foreign girls approach guys actively.

Japanese men are usually shy. But being too straight forward may push them away. Why don;t you first start by making it easier for him to make the first approach. eg. Hint you want to see a certain movie or a restaurant that recently opened and would like to go, put your hand where it is easy to touch, brush your hand against his. And if he still won't make the first move...start making the first move. ,

From my time spent in Japan, I came to see that the Japanese are a reserved race. I was dating a Japanese girl, and it was some time before we even had our first kiss, and even then it had to be in private on a ferris wheel on top of a department store! Holding hands in public was also a big thing for her too. This was probably due to being in Japan though, so it might be different depending on where you are. Take your time and be patient with him. This goes for all realtionships. He will know what to do, and how to respond. It's built in to all of us! Good luck with it anyway!
