That or buy up their stock, or get into their company, and destroy it from the inside.

Use the free, reliable and up to date operating systems that are now available. And the thousands of programs that are created by the open source community that are also free.
Try them and spread the word as the people/organizations that provide this software do not have the money to advertise.

Why get rid of them, i'm enjoying watching them die slowly by a thousand cuts. On-demand software, open source, Mac, regulators etc. etc. are all gaining market share or weakening them. Its good to see the company start to panic a bit by having to compete against all these guys. Hopefully it will force them to try innovating as opposed to imitating. I don't think they've ever had it soo tuff.

I'm not even sure buying an apple would help. Microsoft has their hands in everything these days... well, almost everything. Good luck with that one but I'm not sure why you'd want to.

Invent an operating system for computers that is cheaper and better than windows. Then market it to the world. The only catch is, that the world has to accept your operating system. If they do that, you'll have bill gates money.

I'd worry more about the media conglomerates (time warner, etc). They affect your pocketbook in much greater number than MS does.
