The glowing look is high fashion this season. Neutral colours with high lighter on the cheeks and corners of the eyes will dazzle :)

I think the glowing look is nice, but to start of with, I think the person carrying off the look should have relatively good non oily skin because glowing type cosmetics like pearl highlighters, or sheer foundation can highlight oiliness or imperfections on the face. I would love to try the glowing look, but I have combination skin that gets oily in a couple of hours and wouldn't be able to hold the glowing look makeup well, so I usually do matte.

Depends what you're going for. Matte looks much more professional- never try to look glowing for an interview.
For every day and for going out dewy looks fresher. For special occasions- if you know they will take pictures of you (ie weddings, prom, etc) go with matte with just a hint of highlighter on your cheekbones, since it looks better on pictures. If you're just going out to have fun and want to look hot, feel free to play with the highlighter as much as you want.

it depends on your skin type really,
if u have dry skin, glowing makeup is better and with suit your skin more
if u have oily skin, 'glowing makeup' will make ur face look more oily, whereas if u wear matte makeup and have oily skin, it will tame down the oils in your skin throughout the day...
ALSO 'glowing makeup' lol, is bad if u have blemishes on your face , it will only emphasize them and look way more noticible

the glowing look is a fad, the matt finish is a classic. one has to choose what look they are going for.

I prefer glowing look. It looks more natural. But for special occasion, make up look will do.
