If they where chosen, how well did that work out in WWII and in their current promised land? Chosen by who any way?

They were the slaves of the Pharaohs and were tortured by his guards,also the same with Hitler.Christ was a Jew,and of Jewish faith.Every since the beginning of time they have been persecuted.Truthfully I don't understand why they are the chosen ones they don't even accept Christ as Gods son.
