and why do we live to between 60-100 and not 20? Dogs only an example.All animals different.why?What have they done wrong,haha!

But if ageing hormones spread faster in smaller animals, why is your average great dane's lifespan shorter than that of most toy breeds?

Betcha money you'll get at least one person saying "Because God made it that way..."

I think it may be due to their ancestors, be it wolf or fox *like chihuahuas really came from wolves... lol* needing to reach sexual maturity at a young age to continue the species. The females needed to be having puppies in a certain time to insure that they would, and once they reach their peak all that comes is deterioration. it's only downhill from the top, right?

But what do I know? All i'm doing is speculating, although common sense says that it has SOMETHING to do with their ancestry. Who knows, though?
