The last time I went, I let it grow out to about 1/4". I will groom around the area, but should I just shave it all off as usual? I didn't want my last doctor to think I was some sort of sexpot or something. Haha... Let me know what you guys think. I have a female doctor about age 40+

No. There is nothing wrong with keeping it shaved. In fact, it should make the exam easier for the doctor because everything will not be covered with hair. What is the doctor going to say? She isn't going to say, "I have a shaved one here! Please contact this one's parents immediately! This is the first time I have ever examined a shaved one! Someone needs to contact the police as soon as possible! This is an emergency!".

I wash the area before I have an appt but I don't always shave or trim the hairs in my pubic area. Like one of the other posters said these drs have seen it all. Just stay relaxed during the pelvic exam because tensing will make it harder for them to examine the organs.

If you normally shave, then shave. Your doctor has most likely seen it all.

i think it doesn't matter since your doctor has seen all kinds of private parts. one time i go to my gyne who is also a female, she doesn't even ask or even looked wierd or some kind of other facial expression. like you i also shave it all off. so don't worry and it's your preference.

how ever you normally have it down is just fine. all you need to do is take a shower with warm water and soap on every part of your body, and keep it neat down there wether it be shaved or just trimmed.

As long as it's clean, it's just another pretty face to doctors.

you must be some kind of pervert. There's no reason to be shaving your vulva, PERIOD. Ask your doctor. I'd bet the house [AND WIN] she don't shave her vulva.
