I am interested in the Italian foreign policy. I would like to know more about it's development, it's main objectives and features in relation to other geographical areas and to policies such as human rights, NATO, UN, development assistance, involvement in iternational organisations, globalisation, international operations etc.
Thank you!

Italian governments have generally sought a role as good international citizens in aid, humanitarian, etc issues; while remaining a strong ally in the western world. The Cheney regime in the US has made this very difficult: entangling Italy in misadventures in Iraq and violations of Italian sovereignty (kidnappings, etc).
