It is not the profession that makes people shine, but it is the people who make their profession shine.
How many people would have loved to be an astranaut before Neil Armstrong?
How many people really believed in software before Bill Gates?
How many people were interested in Garbage collection before Onyx, Inc.?
How many people were interested in making animation movies before Walt Disney and Warner Bros.?
So, it is not which field you are in, it is how you perform in the field. You have 2 choices:
1. Either pick the profession very famous, and become one of the 1000+ people famous in it?
2. or pick the profession which has great potential, and make it famous, so famous that people remember your name by the profession and the profession by your name?
The choice is really upto the person who ventures!

I think you can become famous in ANY profession, from toilet cleaner to sectretary to architect to goodness knows what. It depends what you DO in that career and whether you want to be famed for something good or bad. I'm an actor. I love my job but I think fame would be a pain in the ****.
