Without the ability to quantify whatever scientific findings you are studying so that later scientists can find the exact same things to be true that the first one said, the disciplines of Science would be nothing more than conjecture and guessing games.
Mathematics is the backbone to Science.
To ALL Sciences.
There is not a single SCIENCE that does not depend quite heavily upon mathematics.
Some things that appear to be sciences which don't rely upon math at all, like Astrology, Theology, Scientology, etc., aren't really sciences.
For any real science, you not only NEED math, but you need first, to be able to understand the mathematics behind the science.

All science IS math.
Math the the process of making calculations and deriving theories.
Science is the application of mathematics to everyday situations, such as Physics and Chemistry.
You can't have Science without math. Studying only maths will mean you know how to calculate and figure out a lot of things, but without science, you won't really get an experience in applying that knowledge in any way that is useful.

well, for me, math is the better subject of the two because in math, you will really need to understand the equation, or formula in order for you to know how to solve it. while it science, there are already formulas given and all you have to do is to subtitute the given in the formula. so math will really help you think. and another thing, if you know science, you cant really apply it in math, but if you know math, you can apply it in science a lot. =)

I do not think so. Maths is a language or medium of expression of science. In other words, it is part of science and can not be considered separately.

no subject is better than other.
all the subjects are of equal importance.
but maths is the father of science without maths physical expressions could not be derived, chemical equations cannot be balanced and the problems in physics and chemistry cannot be worked out.

the two are the two solid. technology calls for a lot of information + analyzing and Math calls for a lot of prepare. At engineering point, i desire Maths ;) coz it is not so no longer uncomplicated to attain. You even have opportunities to attain the magic extensive variety - a hundred.
