Just wondering if anybody else has experienced their 360 scratching the discs. Im on my second copy of GOW and realised that when i use the 360 in the upright position it scratches the disc. Ill play it lying down from now on. :-)

Yea, you can't movie the 360's if they are standing in the upright position. On top of that sometimes the disc is in wrong and you tear up the disc that stinks, it happened to my first version of Madden 2007. Just make sure you lay it down instead. And never move it when its running. Peace out Hommie

I never have but my friend almost destroyed his Dead Rising. The main thing is never ever ever move the 360 when a disc is in it. Huge scratches. So yeah, laying it down would be the better choice since its not likely to fall over. Keeping it upright safely would require you to put stuff around it which could block the airflow.

no, yet u can installation to hardchronic, if u have one this stops scratching cuz the disk wont spin contained in the xbox, stops that loud stressful noise, and makes loading situations swifter to do this bypass to the demonstrate the position you could press A to play the game and press Y. u receives some ideas and hit installation to hardchronic. itl take a pair minutes yet its worth it.

Yes, I made the mistake of moving it when it was switched on and it burned a huge circle in the disc :-(

I have never moved it while switched on since...no no no

The new ones do not do this..or so I have been told.

Yeah its something to do with the gravitational pull on the disk when you use the Xbox vertically and not horizontally. I now always use the Xbox horizontally to minimise the scratches i get on the disks.
