Success is achieving a goal and being happy about it. And not just 'happy' - a proud happy.
Success is knowing you can go further without regret, and knowing what you WANT to do.
And you only get success if you are determined to BE successful.

When you've achieved success you're happy and proud with what you've done. Success can be different for all different things and sometimes it can just apply to felling something's gone well or been successful. I think success has a meaning very specific to each individual. No-one can truly define success in a generalised way however there was one poem writen about it which I thought was quite nice:

To laugh often and much;

To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children;

To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends;

To appreciate beauty,

To find the best in others,

To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition;

To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived.

This is to have succeeded.

I believe in order to achieve success in anything you must first have made a decision regarding what you want, then achieve them/it, what I mean is that if wonderful things happen in your life but it was not something you consciously decided yo want then you do not really feel it was success, rather just luck. This is how I differentiate between good fortune and true success. Hope that makes sense. Will have a look at your link now.

Well if you think money is an indicator of success then you are sadly mistaken. If you can enjoy life in it's simplest form, then that is success, if you can stop looking at what others have and be happy with your own worth, that too is success. Or if like me you can sale through life without, grasping at money and be happy for what you already have, then you are successful.

Success is constantly lurching from one failure to another without ever considering failure or allowing it to dent one's optimism.
