some carriers have email address for the sms to go to phone.. example.. cingular for sms is 10digitnumber@mobile.mycingular.com and the message will go to the phone as sms and they can reply and it will go back to your email address... or you can go to the carrier website and they have a option to send a text message and do it that way.. just say in the sms for them to reply to your email and then once they reply you will have the email address to phone for sms.. if you want to do picture mess. get them to send pic to your email and you can get the email address for phone to send pics.

If you want you can use your messenger in which u chat ,like yahoo messenger. There is a seperate option for that.

yes you can, few Service Provider provide this service through their website itself, like MTNL: http://delhi.mtnl.net.in/ on this site they have provided the Tab for WB2Mobile, you just need to register there with one condition that you should have MNTL connection.
