Well, all electronics emit small amounts of electromagnetic radiation, but not at levels you need to worry about.
CRT monitors emit some X-ray particles but they are mostly absorbed by the leaded glass that the screen is made out of. It's a small by-product of the cathode ray technology.

I think the PC emits hi frequency radio waves, sometimes they
interfere with the TV, sometimes with the telephone. The monitor
may emit beta if it's a CRT type, not sure about the new LCDs.
The radio waves should be harmless. The new LCDs should be
better than the CRTs. I don't believe the Xray jive, but u can test it
by placing a camera loaded with photographic film near where u
think the xrays are coming from and see if the film will fog or
develop a shadow. U would have to leave the camera/film in
position for 24 hrs, develop the film, see if any results. If none,
then increase the time like instead of 24 hrs, try 96 hrs with
the source on also for 96 hours.

All electronic devices are emitting radiation which is called electromagnetic radiation.
Electromagnetic (EM) radiation are divided into some levels depending on their emitted frequencies and level of hazardous.
As for computers, their electromagnetic radiation and level of hazardous can be grouped into a low EM radiation. Mainboard manufacturers create a special method to reduce those EM radiation by using Spread Spectrum (you can find this on BIOS).
Even if they are grouped as a low EM radiation, it's still hazardous as they can give an electric shock and some unwanted results to another electrical devices such TV and Radio.
Computer case are designed to absorb those EM radiation. But not 100% are absorbed.

computers emit 2 types of radiation:
Light (which ofcourse is not harmful)
and electromagnetic radiation. which also is not strong enough to be harmful to anyone.

This bloke had his credit card zapped by a television, so I don't see that the X rays are that harmless.
