with prostrate cancer and the specialist apparently told him that his blood levels are 7.9??? I have no idea what this means but he says that the reading is too high. The specialist told him he can't fit him in until the end of May and that he should go on his overseas trip and enjoy himself !!! Any naturopaths or herbalists out there who can give me a bit of info regarding his likely prognosis and wot sort of natural remedy/action he should take???

PEACE

The value that he is talking of is PSA test. And while waiting for surgery, sk him to see www.mercola.com and do a little research for the alternatives such as Saw Palmetto and others. Surgery has some risks, he should know.

My boyfriend had prostate cancer and his PSA reading was 4.something. It was explained to him that it was a very slow growing cancer although this is not true for everyone.
I am no dr but it seems that in general if he is healthy in the foods he eats, physically active, and takes care of himself overall there would be no need for using herbs or other remedies. Look at webmd.com for more info on prostate cancer.

I'm sure he is referring to his Prostate-specific antigen (PSA), which is a protein produced by the cells of the prostate gland. The PSA test measures the level of PSA in the blood. Normal levels are very low...like less than 1.0.

Prosrate cancer is a very slow cancer. If a man lives long enough he'll probobly test positive for it. So traveling is not a problem. Go to WebMD.com for more info.
