advertising-->e.g. junk food--->targets kids--->obesity.
no exercise "couch potatoes" -->unhealthy
bad for health (watch for long periods of time..damages eyes)
can make you not do important stuff (e.g. ur addicted to a tv show and you have a major assessment the next day)
can have a bad influence on younger children

example: american idol and mtv have degraded music to looking "cool", no quality to the SOUND at all anymore... sad
