A bit. One of the main healthful components of flax seeds is the Omega 3 Fatty Acid content. This fatty acid is very fragile and is oxidized by heat. A bit of toasting may still leave you with some nutritional content, lots of fiber and a nice taste. It's not likely to hurt you, and it's fun to do for variety. Just understand that it might be "less good for you" than the same amount uncooked.

YES! you ruin all the good stuff(nutrients). The way to eat flax is to grind the seeds(raw) and eat them with fruit as cereal.

Definitely, I reckon it does. Just made me 10 times worse when I cooked them with water !!! Better to just put 3 tablespoons in a mug and fill up with hot water just before bed. Leave to stand overnight. In the morning strain the fluid off into a separate mug and drink that........... works every time.......... :0)

PEACE
