I think it's fine, if they are not wearing a white t-shirt or other see thru top, in fact, sitting here right now, at home, I'm not wearing a bra, it's too confining, and hot at times to wear one, but I don't usually leave the house unless wearing a bra. When I was younger in my twenties, living in FL. a lot of females went w/o a bra on, but I'm no longer 20 or living in FL. So I need to wear a bra when out in public & do. But privately at home is another thing.

It is perfectly acceptible for any woman to not wear a bra at any time. It is simply a stupid social norm which has no true religious or biological support (pardon the pun). Your body is designed to be the way it is without a bra, with ligament support built in. (I personally do not believe that 'supporting your breasts with a bra will keep them higher longer -- ligaments and tendons tend to be strenthened by use, i.e. a breast naturally pulling on it, but atrophied by disuse, i.e. a breast being unnaturally held up by a bra). Bras place the weight of breasts on the shoulders, instead of internal ligaments where their support is supposed to come from. Bras cannot be considered a necessity for modesty, as they were not invented until about 150 years ago. If going braless makes a woman slutty, as I've heard people say, then every woman who lived before the 1850's was slutty. Religions tend to try to make sex either something to be de-emphasized, something to be avoided, or something to be celebrated as God's gift for pleasure and procreation (Christianity treats sex in the celebratory, simply to be enjoyed in marriage only). On any of these three accounts, holding the breasts in a "socially acceptable," more prominent conspicuous formation both makes them an object of sexual focus, not more modest, as well as de-naturalizes and makes a modernistic/social issue out of a natural part of the human body.
Take note that many bras are designed to "push-up,' "minimize,' or or otherwise sexualize or desexualize the breasts. This seems to me to be fueling women's insecurities about body instead of helping them get over social stigmas or body image problems, hindering them from considering their bodies as pure, beautiful, individual, perfect, natural, amazing creations of God without need of unnatural human devices to make them "decent."
I believe wearing a bra is acceptible to help support breasts or prevent discomfort from movement i.e. during sports, martial arts, etc. but that there is no real justification to expecting women to wear them as standard articles of clothing -- breasts are natural and healthy and decent just they way they are, and don't actually need artificial support, especially if they're not large.
One more thing: they look like the most uncomfortable devices ever invented. Especially underwire ones. Ugh. If I were a woman I'd run screaming if someone tried to strap wires around me.......

Ummmm, well can I admit I often dont wear a bra. But just quietly . . . . . . I struggle to even fit into an A cup. I wear one if I have a white or light coloured top on, don't want to go flaunting the nipples or anything. But as a rule, I find it a lot more comfy to go upper comando, because its not like I need to hold any thing in. (unfortunately!!!)

Acceptable or Unacceptable to most, I can't say. After all, it was a MAN that invented the bra. Why would a MAN invent such a contraption? Maybe he invented it for his lady whose bosom was rapidly falling into her "bloomers" ??? I might be getting older but I'm still "holding up quite well" and I love to go braless. And I'm sure I'm not alone in feeling that it's perfectly okay to sometimes just chuck the thing and go.

I think bras have not been a social neccessity since the 19 teens, and for a lot of women, they are not a physical neccessity.
There's nothing wrong with not wearing a bra.
I rarely even wear one, and the only time I've physically needed one was post childbirth, during breastfeeding. I see no need to wear unneccessary clothing, nor waste hundreds of dollars on them.

Some people, myself included think nothing of it. What people do in their personal lives is none of your concern. If you feel offended by looking at someone's chest and realising that she is not wearing a bra, then the solution would be to not look.

Works for me(lol) but it's probobly not good in the long term with no support. I remember this chick from years ago who didn't wear a bra.She was older(30s) and her breasts hung down to her waist line. Not large breasts either. Granted she had had three kids but being a 17 yr old at the time I thought it was pretty gross.

Okay, call the Yahoo RoboCop. She's spying on me !!!!
I just happen to be here, sitting in my chair as usual, without my BRA on. It is probably the first time in about 2 years. I'm going to turn off the PC Cam now.

That depends on what company you keep. To each their own. and I think that if your way over weight, you should wear a bra to keep them in control. but if you are like me, and built small. you can get away with not wearing a bra, women who are bustier I think look a little to sexy unless of course they like men who talk to their breasts instead of to them. In my experience, Men don't always like the big ones. I used to be insecure about being so small, but then as I got older I am glad I am, I can go without a bra and I don't look like some scuzzy looking broad out to get Little, and when I get to be in my 70's or so... They won't sag to my belly button and I will still be able to go with out a bra. so it depends on what your body is like, and if you want to flaunt them or not. I think that you should try to always have a little class when going out in public. even with out a bra.

I know women who can as their boobs are small and some who are a bit on the muscular side.. For the bigger boobed women I say no.. Also to us men a bra is a thing of beauty, most of us love lingerie, it makes even a "hard as nails " type of woman look sexy ... Love and Light...
