I just like Magneto from the X-man

Magneto is depicted as one of the most powerful mutants in the Marvel Universe, possessing the ability to control magnetism. He is also one of the most morally complex characters in American comic books. A Jewish Holocaust survivor, his actions are driven by an ambition to protect the mutant race from suffering a similar fate. he is most often shown as an uncompromising militant and has engaged in acts of terrorism when he felt it was for the benefit of mutantkind.

He is a villain with a cause, a good cause but he dose it in a bad way.
He is more complex then other villains, he is not just evil but dose evil things.
and he is cool!!!!!!!!!!

I know you want just one answer, so all choose one of the following, but list the reason for each.

Lex Luthor: Any time a 'normal' man can use his intellect and vast resources to outwit more powerful adversaries, you have to give him props. People love Batman for the same reason. So, why shouldn't Lex be the ultimate villain if Supes is the ultimate hero?

The Joker: Not only did he kill Robin. He shot Barbara Gordon (aka Batgirl, Oracle) and left her paralyzed. To be physically inferior and still be able to defeat Batman has to say something for the Prince of Crime.

Hyena: Amalgam joined the Joker with Sabertooth to counter Dark Claw (Wolverine and Batman). Combine the above reasoning with a body to match the hero and you see why he's in the running.

Taskmaster: My pick. The only single villain to take out a supergroup. He defeated the Avengers. Not a mean feat for groups to accomplish, and he did it alone. If it hadn't been for those pesky reserve members, he would've gotten away with it. Besides, you gotta like a guy who stays grounded. He didn't want to rule the world, he just wants to get rich by training thugs for other villains to use. Besides, he's got the coolest powers ever, photographic reflexes and memory. He can duplicate any move anyone makes.

Seconding the Joker. He's a madman, he's managed to kill Robin before (Okay, that one gets complicated) and he's a match for Batman. Since Batman manages to be a constantly respected superhero even without superhuman powers (Just top notch human powers in almost every skill known to man), being able to take on the Dark Knight without ridiculous super-weapons is quite a feat.

Dr. Doom. There have been no limits to the amount of power he has been able to attain, at least temporarily.

To be totally insane like the Joker may make him more difficult for Bats to deal with, more unpredictable. The patience, intellect, detail oriented planning done by Doom has brought him to the pinnacles of power often enough. How many times before he remains there?

In terms of physically toughest, I'd have to say Doomsday. Fighting Superman to the death, had to be tossed into the core of a star to kill him ... that's one mean mudder...

I agree with the poster that said Magneto was one of the most complex villains from a psychological standpoint.

In real life, of course, George W. Bush is the ultimate evil.
