I just finished the DVD box of all the seasons of the Office. And now im' watching Little Britain which has been just released in france. And when i came on Holiday in November, iwas lucky enough to watch Spamalot...
Why are you so good??? We don't such funny comedy show in france ! We have even made a remake of the office and it was rubbish !

I think you may be right. The Americans are great too, but their sense of irony is often less tragic that the UK version, and so, it can be 'lost in translation' sometimes.
By the way, get a DVD set of 'Fawlty Towers'. It is the greatest sitcom ever made.

We do have a great sense of humour over here which you can't compare to anywhere else.
i agree, you should definitely watch fawlty towers, would also recommend 'only fools.....' and 'father ted' the last one is Irish rather then UK but really funny. Jack dee also deserves a mention. he's superb admittedly the whole lead balloon thing was pants but the earlier stuff was great

It's true, I don't know why though. I don't agree with the first poster, American comedy is not nearly as good as british comedy. I saw a remake they did in the USA of coupling, it was terrible. American comedy has too much morality for my taste. I'm dutch myself

We just have legends of comedy, Matt Lucas and David Walliams, Peter Kay, Ricky Gervais all are comedy legends, and we just have te best sense of humor in the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you missed off quite a few names there but if you are going for modern names especially johnny vegas needs to get a mention as he is also a fantastic actor.
