Were you born:

1) In a foreign nation outside the UK?
2) Of parents who are not British? OR
3) With certain nations have a grandparent who was a foreign national?
4) Are you married to a foreign national AND residing their home nation?

You can't just say - oh! I'd love to be Amer-Brit or Aussie-Brit etc etc. and go apply for it.
