girlfriend is pregnant - i went to the ultrasound she is only 9 weeks.

now before that she was saying that she was pregnant with twins and had an eptopic pregnancy which was like a month younger then the twins. now she apparently lost the twins and gained this eptopic pregnancy, which apparently corrected itself and went into the womb after the twins desolved without a trace...

now yes she is pregnant now but i find the twin and eptopic pregnancy story impossible, did she lie to me? i think that she must have never been pregnant, then 1 month ater fell pregnant with the chid she is carrying now. what do you think?

i think she was pulling you leg about the twins and eptopic pregnancy. just be glad that she is pregnant now if you were trying, and if not, confront her about it.

This was on a website that I found. I also watched something on the TLC channel that was about about a woman who had an eptopic pregnancy. The show made it sound that they are very, very rare. Otherwise, I don't know why there would be a show about her. Hope it helps a little bit. Just do some research on the subject. There is TONS of information out there on the subject.

"If the doctor finds an ectopic pregnancy, the embryo (which, with very rare exceptions, cannot survive), must be removed so that it does not endanger the woman’s life. If the embryo continues to grow, it can cause the fallopian tube to rupture, resulting in life-threatening internal bleeding.

An ectopic pregnancy usually must be removed surgically. When the pregnancy is diagnosed before the fallopian tube ruptures, the doctor usually makes a tiny incision in the fallopian tube and removes the embryo, saving the fallopian tube and improving the outlook for future fertility. Or, instead of surgery, a woman may be treated with the cancer drug methotrexate, which dissolves the pregnancy, and also saves the fallopian tube. Treatment with methotrexate is most effective in the first six weeks of pregnancy. If the tube has become stretched out or it has ruptured and bleeding has begun, the doctor may have to remove part or all of the fallopian tube.

Today, most ectopic pregnancies are diagnosed in the first eight weeks of pregnancy, usually before the tube has ruptured. This reduces the risk to the pregnant woman; however, the couple still must face the loss of the pregnancy."

**I also read that An ectopic pregnancy cannot develop into a live birth. ** Here is what it says below:

What is an Ectopic Pregnancy?

Ectopic is Latin for “in the wrong place”. In an ectopic pregnancy, a fertilized egg has implanted in the wrong place and the fertilized egg settles in the fallopian tubes more than 95% of the time. This is why ectopic pregnancies are commonly called “tubal pregnancies”. The fertilized egg can also implant in the ovary, abdomen, cervix or the cornua of the uterus. None of these areas have as much space or nurturing tissue as the uterus for a pregnancy to develop. As the fetus grows, it will eventually rupture the space that contains it. This can cause severe bleeding and endanger the mother’s life and future fertility. An ectopic pregnancy cannot develop into a live birth.

Wow that's a convoluted story.

Ectopic pregnancies don't correct themselves. Could be she had an ovarian cyst that cuased her some pain and then burst without any side effects (they usually don't cause any) but an ectopic pregnancy is ONLY found through pregnancy test, complaints of pain and an ultrasound pinpointing the fetus. Ectopic pregnancies end in surgery and no baby at the far end of things- they don't self correct.

The twins story I find highly doubtful as well, though it is possible to be pregnant, miscarry and get pregnant again within weeks - I have a sister from that type of situation. I personally would be asking for medical proof of these supposed pre-existing twins - cause tell you what, yiou don't just "Know" you are pregnant with twins, you know through ultrasound or dual heartbeats - right about 7 weeks along.

I'm guessing you may have been having some hard times in your relationship a few months back, am I right? I can't say I see the logic of it, but some women make up tales to try to keep their boyfriends/spouses about.

Question is now - now that you know she really is pregnant, what do you plan to do? Hard question to ask yourself.

wow thats a story and a half! i think its a bit strange that one month earlier she had this miscarrage and then an eptopic pregnancy and then gets caught its a bit too much for her body to cope with and i think your thoughts are probably right about her lying to you about it all but then again it could be the complete truth as strange things do happen talk to her and try and sort this out or when you go to see her midwife talk to her about this tell her your concerns about this pregnancy and that you are worried that she may have another eptopic or miscarrage and if the midwife tells you that there is no record of this then you kno she was lying plus if you ask the midwife infront of her where can she go or say to get out of telling the truth i know it may sound coniving but atleast you will know the truth hey! good luck and i hope you get the answer you want

I think she was lying about the other pregnancies.
One lie just makes her keep on lying.
