Aw, get off your "alarmism"!! Smoking and second hand smoke are health hazards to the public who also pays the bills for so many who have diseases caused by smoking. If it weren't for the states that raise tobacco and the strong lobby they have, smoking would be banned in this country.

The same is true of trans fatty acids. The public needs to be protected from corporations who use such dangerous methods to prepare the food for the public.

What is a "symbolic ban.?? I'm not sure one exists.

Chow!!

First there was monarchism, then there was communism, then fascism, now we live in the age of nannyism. Nannyism is a doctrine that states that only the government, like a Nanny, knows whats best for her children. People(children) if left to their own devices and individual choice will harm themselves. So the government must protect the people from themselves!
Nannysim began in Europe and is spreading to the USA.
