Has anyone ever heard of someone having one of their kidneys stolen? example: You meet someone at a bar....they slip something into your drink...You later wake up in a bathtub full of ice with a note..."One of your kidneys has been surgically removed"...call 911" Is this just another urban legend????

It's true. It happen to a friend recently. She woke up with stitches. Apparently was drugged the night before in Thailand. Someone peform surgery and stole her kidney. She was examined the next day and confirm by doctors. It's scary. You just have to be safe traveling.

I don't know why these people are joking.This question deserves some respect and serious discussion.In the Amazon their exist a group of people called the jente de Rin~on(peoples of kidney)they have been doing the above for Centuries.It is called the sacrifice of los Rin~ones! I advise you to keep away from furthering your research on this subject because the last person that chose to make fun of the Rin~ones people was found in the icy waters of the Caribbean Sea holding his hand on his hip and screaming to the heavens...."why oh why have you forsaken my kidney".

Kinda. The real story is this guy in England call the police and told them someone had stolen his kidney. The story he gave was just like the myth. Truth is he had sold it and made up the story because selling it was illegal.

Mine was taken by a friendly Japanese fellow by the name of Onashi. At least he left me in a tub of ice and gave me 20 bucks for the taxi ride to the hospital.

yes its real and it happens in south America all the time also if you go to Mexico and you get lost they will put you in a cage and feed you till your fat and make you into tacos and tamales
