Hi all, i'm almost due and have been told that clary sage and jasmine can start labour. Can anyone please tell me if they have tried it and did it work. I have been told i could go into labour anytime, so i am not taking any unnecessary risks.

I used clary sage and rosemary oils in my bath, where I spent all of my first stage of labour. My son was born after only 7 hours, and the midwife was sure that the oils were a contributing factor to how fast things went. It probably would have been a lot faster as well if I wasn't carrying a big baby.

Don't use it neat on your skin thoug, either sniff it from a tissue, use a burner, in the bath or as in a carrier oil for massage.

aromatherapy essential oils have extremely powerful properties and I must stress that they should only be used by a qualified aromatherapist. Don,t put yourself and your baby at risk love.

If you are almost due to deliver, it doesn't matter what you use as you cannot harm the child.
